Overall, the Lotmaxx SC-10 Shark is of good quality and the assembly process is short. The extensions ( auto-leveling & dual extruder) are plugged in at the front. The cables are led into the housing on the right while the add-ons are plugged into the front of the housing. The printer’s cable management looks nice without any add-ons. The 3D-Touch car level sensor calibrated the printer in 2-3 minutes.

This sensor comes in an extra box and is attached to the right of the printhead with two screws.
WHAT IS SHARKS 3D SOFTWARE MANUAL
The assembly only involves putting the Z-axis on the base with 4 screws, attaching the screen and filament holder with two screws each, and finally, plugging the cables.ĭuring the setup process, we decided to attach the 3D-Touch Autolevel sensor (but only activated it later in the firmware to test the manual leveling beforehand!). Printer SetupĪssembling the printer takes about 10 minutes. There are also a couple of parts (e.g., the filament holder, filament sensor and mainboard housing) made of grey plastic. Most of the printer’s parts are made of metal and look sleek. Stable construction! The pulleys are fixed by metal brackets and look nice. The LotMaxx SC-10 Shark features anodized gray (“space gray”) aluminium profiles. You will set up the printer in about 10 minutes. If you are completely new to 3D printer assembly, the manual is easy to understand. If you have some experience in set up a 3D printer, you will not need the manual. The printer is also shipped with a well-illustrated English manual.

Instead, it comes with a two-color extruder. However, the LOTMAXX 3D printer does not have a milling machine. If you remember, the Dobot Mooz was realized through crowdfunding platforms and features 3 options: 3D printing, laser engraving and CNC milling.

WHAT IS SHARKS 3D SOFTWARE SOFTWARE
Utilizing the Beastcam™ technology, as well as other photography, video, scanning, and software techniques, ,our team of photographers, engineers, modelers and scientists can create accurate, high-quality 3D models of most animals. The LOTMAXX SC-10 SHARK looks somehow similar to the Dobot Mooz. This means that we can create models for you or your organization (either for-profit or non-profit) for a fee (Please see the “Work with us” page to learn more). We are also a cost-center (also known as a fee-based account). We partner with scientists, zoos, and NGOs to ethically gain access to a wide array of animals for 3D scanning, including endangered species. We aim to spur scientific discovery, support wildlife conservation and create educational opportunities.ĭigital Life is a non-profit initiative within the University of Massachusetts at Amherst that creates digital 3D models of living organisms to support wildlife conservation, science and education. Digital Life aims to preserve the heritage of life on Earth through creating and sharing high-quality and accurate 3D models of living organisms.
